What is the point in having Wikipedia pages on every publisher? What makes Daedalus Publishing noteworthy? Also: isn't this a bit of an ad? JFW | T@lk 21:09, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

- Keep (please). Daedalus Publishing is a very well known and respected publisher for the GLBT and BDSM communities. They are the publisher of well known titles such as William A. Henkin, Sybil Holiday, Consensual Sadomasochism : How to Talk About It and How to Do It Safely, Daedalus, 1996. ISBN 1881943127, and have been nominated by the American Library Association for the 2005 Stonewall Book Award for another title (Painfully Obvious). This probably does not mean much for a lot of folks out there, but for the rest of us that makes them a noteable publisher, probably second only to Greenery Press. - Agreed, the article was a stub, but it hasn't grown much apart from the ALA Stonewall reference you added. How about listing other books, who runs the company, etc. At the moment, it has few merits above any small publishing house. Many companies in Category:Book publishers have a bigger claim to fame that Daedalus. JFW | T@lk 09:28, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Hmm... it is probably the most prominent publisher in its niche- but it's a pretty small niche. No vote for now- has there ever been a consensus on "big ghoti in small (non-geographic) pond" entries?. -FZ 18:27, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Niche. Well, it all depends upon your POV really, doesn't it ? As I have pointed out previously, there are more individual entries in Wikipedia for Formula One drivers than BDSM related articles, yet I don't know a single person who is into Formula One racing.... Also, I only add entries for books which I own or at least have read. Dlloyd 19:38, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)
