Political Affiliation
[edit]Hello! I added some more to Hobby's life (more specifically her and her husband's political affiliations since it's not explicitly stated anywhere). If not relevant, please let me know and feel free to edit. Check it out in the Personal life/family section.
Thanks!

Autodidact? Really?
[edit]When someone uses the word "autodidact", it's 99% bull. In any case, that's a terribly important word to assign to someone who is "self-taught", by definition. Why even mention it at all? Ms. Hobby clearly attended several universities but failed to graduate from any of them. I think that speaks more about her dedication to education than any single word can do. Leading with the phrase "An autodidact..." introduces a non-neutral POV, since it influences the reader . It should be removed, and the reader can decide for his/herself whether or not Ms. Hobby was "educated". In real terms, who isn't an "autodidact"? We all teach ourselves, and it's impossible to quantify. That's why people attend formal classes and earn degrees; to prove something that is otherwise impossible to prove. Right? 98.194.39.86 (talk) 14:04, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
Never mind, I edited that sentence, since it was taken word-for-word from a publisher online, and did not include a source and was not cited. I don't read the WP guidelines, but I'm pretty sure it's not OK to copy and paste directly from web sites. That's plagiarism, methinks. 98.194.39.86 (talk) 14:15, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
