Please do not revert this page. It is highly unlikely that anyone typing "National Park" into the article box is looking for a small town in New Jersey. If they are, I have added a disambiguation header to national park. I have also recieved consensus on #wikipedia for this change.

The nature of these links (all are outside the main namespace, one of them is doing so while quoting a normal namespace article) makes one suspect that someone has been disambiguating it.

Fix the three links if they are wrong. There is no reason for national park to be capitalised, unless it is referring to the city. anthony (see warning)

I disagree. For one, many editors capitalize "National Park" as a part of a title, which would result in a link pointing to this page. Also, there's no telling if people will capitalize entries that in their article box. Well, for a compromise, what about a disambig header on National Park, New Jersey pointing to National park, and vice versa? -- Slowking Man 03:12, May 27, 2004 (UTC)

I've added the sentence "Despite its name, National Park is not a national park." as the second sentence of the "National Park, New Jersey" article. I think that reads much more cleanly than a disambiguation notice, and accomplishes the same effect. I see no reason for a disambig header on national park. That editors commonly miscapitalise "national park" doesn't seem justification to point a redirect to the wrong page. Keeping that sentence as the second on the city page is justifiable though, because it fits in there anyway. anthony (see warning) 10:03, 27 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't really know whether the disambig header should be on national park. I didn't add it, so I'll just leave it alone. Other than that, it looks fine; if someone mistakenly goes to the city article, the header should point him to the right place. Glad we could work it out. :)

I don't think it's worked out at all. This should be a disambiguation page as it was once before. Most people who come here are looking for information on National parks, but some are looking for the town of National Park, New Jersey. Surely that's what a disambiguation page is for? If it must be a redirect, make it to the most common usage, which is as part of the title of a National Park, not the town. The current redirect is US-centric. Andrewa 01:26, 31 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
