Nice start, but it seems a bit focussed on managing of English woodlands - or, even, dare I suggest, semi-natural broadleaf southern English woodlands. The world is full of woodlands and management techniques. With such a broad title a much more general article is needed, I think, which we can then break down into different types of management, including the ones you've started on Naturenet 15:19, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Picture of tree management machine

Nice pic - however I've removed it. It is not particularly a machine for tree management, as it's just a mobile lifting platform for working at heights, albeit that in this instance it's used for tree management (although as it is not in action we only have the sign to tell us what it is used for). Plus this is a device for managing trees in a formal or semi-formal situation, such a roadside. You'd rarely see such a device in use in a woodland. Naturenet | Talk 11:26, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
