[edit]

I cannot find any english sources for the first part of the lists (Ayodhaya). Ayodhaya is only a different spelling of Ayutthaya - but this kings cannot be kings of the Ayutthaya kingdom, as that city was founded much later then their ruling. Can someone give more information on this kingdom? The only other Thai kingdom of that period is the one of Chiang Saen, which later became Lannathai, but that is far to the north.

"Thailand"

[edit]

There is no such thing as "Thailand" (land or name) until 60 years ago.

Prem Tinsulanonda - Head of state

[edit]

The general Tinsulanonda is the current head of state in Thailand (since 13 October 2016), as Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn postponed the date of accession to the throne at a later time, therefore, is not king. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mouchatm (talkcontribs) 19:35, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The year of early monarchs

[edit]

@Phu2001k, GoodDay, and Sodacan: It seems the year of early monarchs are different from the version of Thai. For example, Sri Indraditya was born in 1188 CE or พ.ศ. 1740, but should not พ.ศ. 1740 be 1197 CE? Are they both right? --Kanashimi (talk) 00:44, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

List of monarchs of ThailandList of Thai monarchs – The Kingdom of Thailand or Siam did not exist as a unitary state prior to the 19th century, nor did the historical kingdoms form a single successive line. However, they are regarded as Thai kingdoms, and renaming the article as such would better reflect its scope. Compare List of French monarchs and List of Burmese monarchs, etc. Paul_012 (talk) 09:00, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't Suriyenthrathibodi considered part of the Prasat Thong dynasty?

[edit]

If he's the son of Narai, therefore his descendants (Thai Sa, Borommakot, Uthumphon, and Ekkathat) would've also been part of the Prasat Thong dynasty right? Yourlocallordandsavior (talk) 20:58, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
