chronological order of works
[edit]i added a few compositions by kagel that i have on CD; there are more (such as the Windrose series) that are still missing. however the categorization into "chamber", "stage," "vocal" etc. seems unfortunate and unworkable. most of kagel's works, except those for orchestra, fall into all three groups simultaneously. i suggest a simple chronological ordering, with brief description of the performers and instruments required, would be easier to curate and use. - Hi. I saw your suggestion, and created a Kagel work list, sorted chronologically, as a new page. If you see any mistakes, or would like to improve it, please edit as you see fit. Thanks! Helen Puffer Thwait (talk) 14:43, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
Untitled
[edit]Staatstheater is not described as a "ballet for non-dancers" (Kontradanse). One of the nine parts of the piece is called this, because that is what it is. The whole work is a large scale deconstruction of the traditions of the German opera house. I would be happy to put an article on this piece if anyone thinks it might be a good idea.

Nice information
[edit]It is a good thing to know. I wish I could add more info.
Citation style
[edit]I see that User:Jubileeclipman has added a "citation style" banner to this article, but I do not find the expected recommendation for improvement here on the talk page. It appears to me that the problem must be the unnecessary use of footnotes, since the reference format is basically author-date citation. This is easily corrected.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 08:38, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
