Flag
[edit]It seems that the 1949 flag has been superseded at least once, and possibly twice. See [1] and [2]. Can anyone verify? Davidships (talk) 11:35, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- I reached out to the Fish and Wildlife Service for clarification, and received the following response from their historian:
Thank you for your query. The blue and white flag was a historic flag that was used informally after the creation of the Fish and Wildlife Service in 1940. I am not sure it was ever officially registered and gradually FWS stations just used the DOI flag. The blue and yellow logo flag was made an official flag several years ago and is most often used by the FWS Honor Guard at official ceremonies. We do not fly the FWS flag at most stations.
- This indicates that the design found here is the official flag. Sipik06 (talk) 02:48, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
