On 11 July 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved from Foundation series to Foundation (book series). The result of the discussion was moved.

Splitting the article

What was the need to split this article into two articles? It was fine as it was. Richard75 (talk) 00:44, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Richard75. This shouldn't have been split. The split has resulted in an article that largely violates Wikipedia policies, since it is overwhelmingly WP:WEIGHTed towards WP:PRIMARY research. Shooterwalker (talk) 00:04, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Foundation series → Foundation (book series) – Foundation (TV series) is also a "series" so this title is an incomplete disambiguation state. And while not a primary topic so page views aren't really needed, per Pageviews it hasn't received more views than the series over the last year Gonnym (talk) 08:10, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment if someone could write a franchise article, the "Foundation series" should point there. Foundation Saga seems to be available to use as a franchise article name. This should include the Galactic Empire series, Daneel+Bailey series, I Robot, End of Eternity, the various spin-offs (Caliban, "Fourth Law of Robotics", etc), the TV show, the I Robot movie, etc. ; and discussion on the non-infringing related works like "Psychohistorical Crisis" -- 65.92.247.96 (talk) 08:05, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
