Question mark?
[edit]Does that question mark belong in the title? RickK 22:25, Jul 11, 2004 (UTC)
Yup, it does. Adam Bishop 22:44, 11 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Calvin and Hobbes
[edit]A few strips of the late great Calvin and Hobbes comic strip mention a "spaghetti incident". Could that have anything to do with this title? -- Jwwalker 08:00, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- No, it has to do with an incident with old drummer Steven Adler, I'm not going to get into it.
- I think it was a "noodle incident" that was mentioned in Calvin & Hobbes, not a "spaghetti incident". But yeah, I'd also wondered if the two were related. BACON 04:28, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- See http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/4037/Guns-N-Roses-The-Spaghetti-Incident/ for a source speculating the relationship Spetnik (talk) 20:39, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
1972
[edit]The album's songs are cover versions of punk and rock songs of the late '70s and early '80s, with the exception of the album's first track...
Buick Mackane (they spelt it wrong!) was recorded in 1972 (they got that wrong too- the sleeve says it was recorded in 1973!).
Second cover
[edit]What's the deal with this second cover? Anyone have a pic of it? Adam Bishop (UTC)
Fifth studio album
[edit]This is the sixth album by GNR, not fifth. You are not counting Live like a suicide, which is with all justice an official recording. 190.132.133.218 20:09, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- LLAS is an EP, not an album. Funeral 20:11, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Album title
[edit]While Matt Sorum and Adler have alluded to some hokey "spaghetti fight" as the reason for the album title, I think it has more to do with an old story re: groupies and members of Motley Crue; the members of the Gunners simply didn't want to repeat the gross story/inside joke to the dumb media... see http://www.nypost.com/seven/02252008/gossip/pagesix/now_thats_enough_to_make_you_sick_99206.htm It's a pretty well-documented story. Perhaps this should be added to the article, but I wouldn't want to offend the delicate genius of Wikipedia editors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.224.157.148 (talk) 02:02, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Studio album
[edit]According to Studio album, The Spaghetti Incident doesn't qualify as a studio album. Just as Garage Inc. and Undisputed Attitude don't. 81.158.86.47 (talk) 08:40, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Look at what it says right above the article--Arneandre (talk) 00:07, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was no move. JPG-GR (talk) 16:32, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
"The Spaghetti Incident?" → The Spaghetti Incident? — Quotation marks should not be used as per WP:NAME. Just because they appear on the album's cover doesn't mean they are necessary in the article's title. See also Bleach (album) and 40 (song), both of which also have quotes surrounding the title. — –Dream out loud (talk) 05:27, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]- Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with
*'''Support'''
or*'''Oppose'''
, then sign your comment with~~~~
. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
- Oppose — Travelling Tragition (Talk) 05:39, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Weak Oppose. Although some Wikipedians might say otherwise, I believe this article should have quotes since members of Guns N' Roses have explicitly said this is the title. Robert Christgau refers to the album with quotes, so this formatting of the album isn't unheard of. Xnux the Echidna 13:36, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Weakly oppose, although I'd weakly support a move to the completely punctuationless The Spaghetti Incident. I see no reason to remove half of the punctuation but not the other half. --Quuxplusone (talk) 06:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Any additional comments:
- The fact that quotes appear on the album cover is not why the article's name contains quotes. As the articles says, during a discussion between Axl Rose, Slash and the album's cover designer, in the "Making of Estranged" video, it is made clear that the correct form of the title is within quotation marks and with a question mark. Thus the quotation marks should be used. See Bob Dylan's "Love and Theft" and David Bowie's "Heroes", for other examples of artists using quotation marks in their album titles. — Travelling Tragition (Talk) 05:39, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

Leadvocals column
[edit]I think it would be nice if someone would make a "Leadvocals" column in the tracklisting, Since this album has variating lead vocals. Unfortunately i dont know how to do this. If someone does, please do it.
If someone knows how to do it, but dont know who sings lead vocals on which song, the sleve says:
- 1. Since I dont Have You - Axl
- 2. New Rose - Duff
- 3. Down on the Farm - Axl
- 4. Human Being - Axl
- 5. Raw Power - Duff N' Axl
- 6. Ain't it Fun - Axl & Michael Monroe
- 7. Buick Makane (Big Dumb Sex) - Slash N' Axl
- 8. Hair of the Dog - Axl
- 9. Attitude - Duff
- 10. Black Leather - Axl
- 11. You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memmory - Duff
- 12. I Don't Care About You - Axl
- 13. It says nothing about "Look at Your Game Girl", but I'm shure it's Axl.
(the songs with two names are NOT because one of them are backing vocals)--Arneandre (talk) 23:59, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Original lineup?
[edit]The article says this album "is the last album with the original line-up." However, Stradlin and Adler don't perform on this album. 82.131.105.75 (talk) 21:32, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
