meta template?

Could someone explain why Template NETL does not work beyond 5 times in a page? (at least, in my attempt to apply it on Wikipedia:Template messages/General it works up to disambig and then dies. Just confusing me...) - Amgine 02:35, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I believe a template cannot be called more than five times in a single page. This means that Template NETL, while handy on small pages, cannot be used on large lists of templates. -- Itai 10:43, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
