"Expert" on Alexandre Dumas, père.
I run "The Alexandre Dumas, père Web Site" at http://cadytech.com/dumas/
Fixed Spelling ? O.K. ?
[edit]Of course it's not O.K.! It's imperative ! Nice meeting you, any friend of Alexandre ( père ) is a friend of mine. One does not become an "expert" without loving the man.
- I cordially offer you a 'capon' at virtually the tip of my dagger.

Re: birth date and age template.
[edit]But if another birth date was used within an article about a different person, there is no need to use this template, surely? Could you show me an example of where it is neccessary. I assumed the usage of the template was restricted to Infoboxes?--Macca7174 14:35, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Alexandre Dumas pere
[edit]Oops!! Quite right - I should have checked the dates from which it is quite obvious......Thanks for sorting it out! Rotational 05:30, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
"till" vs. "until"
[edit]I prefer "until" but allow that "till" is grammatically correct as well, and will not object if you want to change it back. Saruhon (talk) 17:06, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Charles Schulz
[edit]Why are you changing links to Charles Schulz? I thought you weren't supposed to fix links that aren't broken. [1] 97.116.16.203 (talk) 15:39, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Good point. There is another person Charles Schultze (the economist) that several pages accidentally linked to Charles Schultz (a typo for Charles Schulz, the cartoonist). I made the changes in order to make it quite clear which person was being referred to. In a few cases, I removed the "alternate text" in the wikilink to use the direct text, which I understand is the preferred format of a link.--Ccady (talk) 17:08, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Edmond Dantès
[edit]Smackbot changed the correct spelling (Dantès) to an incorrect one (Dantes) of in a DEFAULTSORT tag for Edmond Dantès. Should it do that? --Ccady (talk) 14:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just found the same issue with Gérard de Nerval --Ccady (talk) 14:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes it should. Otherwise Dantès, Edmond would be listed before Dantes, Andrew. Rich Farmbrough 14:43 5 October 2008 (UTC).
Kucinich
[edit]Which part is POV? It's fact that Israel violated the 2005 ceasefire by blockading Gaza. Is there dispute that Hamas targeted Israeli civilians in 2008/9?
Maybe it would be best to put "Israel's right to defend itself" in quotes so that it's clear that the article is quoting the Resolution that Kucinich voted against, not saying that Israel was actually defending itself (which it wasn't if the timeline starts when their warships entered Gazan waters, not when Hamas launched rockets into Israel).
