Talk:Form feed
how do I set up a page break in basic? — 216.228.48.39
- It depends on the software you are using. Usually text is broken into pages automatically. You can also indicate a place for page break manually; or you can specify that headings always start from a new page etc. — Monedula 07:24, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
PRINT CHR$(12)
will do the trick. —Psychonaut 12:37, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
According to the article, bash implemented the formfeed to clear the terminal. This didn't work over here. I tried echo -e '\f' and printf '\f' --Bernard François 08:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't think that the Form Feed and the Page Break articles should be merged. Instead they should just link to eachother. The form feed article discusses a specific character - hex 0C which acts as page break in some situations. By merging the articles together you say they are one in the same - they are not. A form feed is a specific type of page break. Another type of page break which isn't mentioned in the page break article is a Control Character, which could be the character 1 in column 1 of a Mainframe line data document. Microsoft word and other editors also use page break characters of their own type.

Yes, I don't think so either.
