Welcome and Thanks for Greek name
[edit]Hello Adia. I see you are a new user in the English Wikipedia. Welcome! I hope you enjoy your editing here. I take the oportunity to thank you for adding the Greek form on the article I started on mr. Kossivas. You might want to know that this edit was attributed to your IP address rather than your user name though. This was probably because you edited the page before you created your account. If you want to have it reattributed to your user name, so that you get full credit for it, you could contact an Administrator and ask him/her to fix this for you. Thank you for your help with the article and happy editing! Regards, Redux 18:05, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Hi Adia. Might I impose on your good will once more and ask you to do one more translation to Greek in mr. Kossivas's article? It's actually two: the first is just the Greek form of his wife and daughter's first names (surname is already translated at the top of the article); the second is in the last paragraph, the sentence inscribed in the t-shirt he presented to Vanderlei de Lima. I know the inscription is in Greek, but I could only find a translation (and I don't even know how well translated it was). I'd really appreciate it, and thank you in advance! Regards, Redux 19:04, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks for the names. As for the sentence, I had indeed thought of that problem when I asked you to translate it. I too was only able to find a translation to Portuguese in the Brazilian press, and those guys are notorious for mistranslating from all languages. You're right, better to leave it like that. You only forgot to translate one name: George Dimantopoulos. It's my fault though, I did not include him in my request, but that was because his name was not in the article when I wrote my request before. Thanks a lot for all your help! Regards, Redux 18:19, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your assistance. Apparently, I had misspelled mr. Diamantopoulos's name, which means that the Brazilian press had misspelled, since that was my source. Thanks for correcting it too. Regards, Redux 17:54, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Patrida, I'm rallying up support for Alexandros Papadiamantis in Wikipedia:Literature Collaboration of the Week. So, go vote! :D

Poll
[edit]I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies. There is a poll in the talk page of the article 'Macedonian Slavs' here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll
Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to "Macedonians" without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story too . Your contribution to the discussion and the poll is welcomed.
Permission? no, i didn't ask for his permission. but then, Copyright laws in Greece :) Project2501a 06:27, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
Intresting Ayyavazhi Family
[edit]Hai Adia, there are intresting articles about Ayyavazhi, a new religion on both mythology and religiosity. Wikipedia is rich with this topic in English, but poor in other languages. Since french is a leading language in Wikipedia it is better to translate the contents on this AYYAVAZHI family to french. - Paul Raj
Wikipedians in Greece
[edit]Hi,
I understand that you are either Greek Wikipedian or a Wikipedian living in/with an interest in Greece.
The category page Wikipedians/Greece has been replaced with Category:Wikipedians in Greece but your name still appears on the old list. You might considering moving it. You might also consider adding adding Template:Greekwiki to your user page.
A Wikipedia:Greek Wikipedians' notice board has been in existence for some time but is terribly underutilised. It would certainly benefit from your involvement.--Damac 12:01, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Adia. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Adia~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
