Hyperbole

[edit]

On June 28, 2001, commenting on a televised interview of Osama bin Laden at his hideout in Afghanistan, Cooper predicted that bin Laden would soon be blamed for a 'major attack' on a large U.S. city. Immediately after the attacks on September 11, 2001, he predicted the U.S. would soon be at war in 'two or maybe three countries' and that legislation would be passed to allow the surveillance of Americans and the restriction of their civil liberties. In the same broadcast, he also predicted he would be 'shot dead' at his home by the government. Less than two months later he was fatally shot during an attempted arrest by local authorities. I know Cooper has a huge fan base, however framing these as accurate predictions is a bit too much hype and leaves out key details. For example, Cooper actually said some NWO type of conspiracy would launch an attack on the US but Bin Laden would be falsely blamed. He claimed that an extreme form of government surveillance and tyranny over innocent citizens would be legislated by the same NWO conspiracy. And he claimed police would come in the the middle of the night and shoot him at his door for political reasons, again hinting at some kind of NWO conspiracy. - - LuckyLouie (talk) 15:17, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So the only thing he got wrong was the time of day he would be shot? 172.251.169.95 (talk) 20:46, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well considering that the day before the 9/11 false flag operation, you seem to forget that Rumsfeld went on a Monday evening broadcast to the citizens of the US literally saying,"The Pentagon "couldn't track $2.3 trillion of its transactions."
What happened the next day, well a bigger news story, where the twin towers were hit with jets, building 7 gets demolished by controlled demo charges, and I say that because the building 7 video that has been seen by millions of the building standing there, and an off camera voice says "we're going to pull it", which is a common phrase that's used to reference the controlled demolition of a building.
You also don't remember that that day the pentagon was "hit by a jet", that was piloted by supposedly a guy that went to flight school for a very short time, yet he managed to pull a downward 270° spiral turn and slam the side of the building right? What plane debris was outside the pentagon? There was no engine cores retrieved from the pentagon...also, coincidentally the offices that were destroyed in the pentagon, just happened to be the offices where they were conducting the investigation for the missing money. Even bigger coincidence was all the employees who were tasked with that investigation were all there and were killed and all th evidence destroyed...
If that isn't enough holes poked in the 9/11 attack that was self inflicted. Here's one more coincidence, one of the pilots of the jets that hit the towers just happened to get his passport blown put of his pocket, narrowly escaping the obvious fireball crash that he died in, it escaped a crashing plane that was sealed, it miraculously flies through the falling debris and firey explosion and flies three blocks from the tower and just happened to land at the feet of an FBI agent, completely intact...talk about dumb luck.
You really think that the NWO is still a conspiracy? Really? Did you also eat the lead paint chips as a kid? I ask that because apart from the aliens aspect of his "crazy theories" and the time of day he was murdered, he was dead on point, remember 4 days after congressional members passed the patriot act, you know the one that IS exercising tyrannical despotism on the citizens today? Come on man...wake up 2600:100B:B01C:5CD:0:67:2FC4:6901 (talk) 08:16, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The "2.3 trillion dollar" payments coincide with previous years' payments. "pull it" was a quote by the firefighters. Doing a spiral turn is not an expert maneuver if it is done accidentally, and it doesn't take a genius to crash a plane. Any plane debris would likely be scrap after the crash, which explains why no major components were recovered. The passports were indeed doctored, as stated by the 9/11 Commission, but proves nothing. And is it really surprising that an armed man hiding from the police died in a gunfight? Furthermore, the Patriot Act proves nothing, except that Congress is made up of human people who are subject to emotional manipulation. That334 (talk) 19:13, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The adding of the "Nardwuar vs. William Cooper" media appearance

[edit]

In the "Media Appearances" section, "Nardwuar vs. William Cooper" should be added to the list of media appearances and should be ranked below "The CNN Interview" and above "Reichstag '95." This interview was uploaded to the official Nardwuar website on February 26, 1993, presumably coinciding with the interview date.

Minor grammar

[edit]

Article says: "Cooper also described HIV/AIDS as a man-made disease used to target blacks, Hispanics, and homosexuals, and that a cure was made before it was implemented." It would be better to replace "that a cure" with "said or stated that a cure", since otherwise the sentence 'expands' to "described...that", which is not very idiomatic. 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:2928:247:74F7:DCE4 (talk) 20:58, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
